Bayanihan 2014: Brigada EskwalaPosted May 2014May 2014 - The Department of Education (DepEd) kicked off itsannual school maintenance week—known as the “Brigada Eskwela”—in various schools nationwide. Brigada brings together schoolofficials, parents, students, and private organizations in an effort toclean and repair schools, in time for enrollment the following weekand the start of classes. - Official Gazette (2014)Parents participate the “Brigada Eskwela 2014” at Papaya Academyheld May 26 - 28 year 2014. As what Br. Luistro, the current Secretaryof Department of Education said that “Brigada Eskwela is not aboutthe cleanest school. It is not about the most organized campus. It'sabout the whole community transcending differences and working together for the benefit of theFilipino learners.” In order to school ready for this school year, parents helping PapayaAcademy to create a resilient and clean learning environment for thechildren to have motivation in going to school.
